Excuse me please...
Can I Crash At Your Place For Awhile?
Wag-N-Train
Dog Rescue needs volunteers in Sanpete, Millard, Juab and Southern
Utah Counties to provide short term foster care for friendly,
healthy dogs and puppies until they can be placed for adoption.
Foster parents provide security, love, companionship and a nurturing
home environment which helps give these special dogs a second chance
to find their forever home.
The average length of time a dog is fostered is about 30 days, but
fostering can last anywhere from a few days to several months.
Wag-N-Train provides food, collar, leash and the cost of
pre-approved medical care during the duration of the stay in the
foster home, although if a foster home is able to provide the food
for the dog they foster it is greatly appreciated.
Most all Wag-N-Train dogs are healthy, well-adjusted dogs that
transition quickly and easily into a new, permanent family. However,
some dogs require a little extra care and training to help them
become more adoptable, like learning manners and developing better
social skills with people and other dogs. Wag-N-Train volunteers and
dog trainers will give you guidance and direction with any training
questions or behavior problems you encounter. Fostering is a great
way to increase your dog training knowledge and skills.
What if I Become Too Attached?
We hear this *a lot*, and we understand this sentiment completely!
It’s sometimes hard to part with a dog that we have rescued and
cared for, but letting go is part of the rescue process. It’s a
sacrifice all foster parents make in order to give their foster dog
a second chance with a family that loves them and by letting go you
maintain that extra room in your heart and home to rescue *another*
dog that needs your care in order to get their second chance.
However, if you decide that you just cannot part with your foster
dog, we will allow foster parents the first chance to adopt their
foster dog.
Wag-N-Train is in urgent need of foster homes. If you are interested
